Vegas Vacation!

Hello all! It been a while since my last post, so I thought I write about my trip to my favorite city in the world, Las Vegas. Like the past Christmas since I turned 21, I went with my cousins to Los Angeles and Las Vegas for our annual holiday trip. We usually fly to LA and then drive to Vegas. Our trip to Vegas started on the morning of Friday, December 21st.

Day One:
The trip included me, Wah, Si, Ray and Anna. We started the trip in the late morning and only made a couple of stops before hitting Vegas. The first stop was a short bathroom break, but Wah and Si decided to get some food from Del Taco. The second stop on our road trip was in Baker, California to eat at The Mad Greek. I do not remember what everyone else had, but I had a Philly Cheesesteak. Our next stop before entering Sin City, is the Outlet Mall in Primm, Nevada. This is some what of a tradition for our annual trip. We always check out the Old Navy to see if there are any sales. After a few minutes shopping, we finally got back in the car and drove the final few minutes to Las Vegas.

Once we were finally in Vegas, we went straight to the Wyndham Grand Desert Resort. Ray and Anna has a timeshare there, so we've been staying there the past couple of years. After we got settled into the room, we headed out to do a little gambling. We went to our good ole faithful, Excalibur. Ray and Anna got hooked at the Craps table, Wah hit the roulette table, Si and I learned how to play Pai Gow. I also took a couple of hands at Let It Ride.

Day 2:
On Saturday, we thought we would visit a casino that was off the strip. It was pretty far off the strip actually. It was the Red Rock Casino. Anna and Ray did most of the gambling at the Craps tables, while Wah, Si and I went bowling in the casino. I won the first game and Si won the second game. The only loser was Wah, who came close to beating us, but choked at the end.

After lunch in the China town, we went back to ole faithful and gambled some more, since we were planning to head back to LA the following day. Ray and Anna were planning to stay Sunday night.

Day 3:
On Sunday, we were planning to do a little gambling before heading back to Los Angeles. We started at The Orleans casino, which was disappointing because it did not include a poker room. So again, we headed back to Excalibur and played a little at the poker room. When we finally looked at the clock, it was about 6pm. This is where the story gets interesting.

So, Wah, Si and I decided to go eat before heading back to LA, while Anna and Ray stayed at Excalibur to have dinner. We went and ate at a local restaurant called Four Kegs Sports Pub. After we have stuffed ourselves with food like we always do, Si sat back and the look on his face was priceless. He looked over at me and Wah and said something like "Call Ray back, looks like we're staying another night." Wah and I just cracked up laughing and so we made the call and went back to the resort. Since it was only 8pm, I wanted to just take a nap and head back over to Excalibur to play a little more poker before we had to leave in the morning. But I ended up sleeping the whole night.

Classic part of the story:
Ray woke Wah up early on Monday morning to show him a note that said "Went to Excalibur, call me when you're ready to go. Signed Si". When Ray showed the note to Wah, they woke me up and told me that "Si ditched us". I was like wtf? I had thought he gone back to Los Angeles without us. Then they showed me the classic note with the pizza stain (which Ray is going to frame) and I felt betrayed. I wanted him to wake my ass up so I could go there too, but that bastard ditched us. Si had woken up early and gone to Excalibur and played in a $35 buy-in tournament. After we got dress, we went over to Excalibur, where Wah and I played poker for a few minutes while Si finished out his hold'em tournament. After that, we head back to Los Angeles.

Side Note:
We knew Si had a slice of pizza before ditching us because that fool left a pizza stain on the piece of paper that he wrote the note on for us. It has now become a tradition for Si to ditch us when we go to Las Vegas.
